The Toast Trio

Dear reader,

I hope this letter finds you well. While at times it can feel difficult to identify a food that everyone enjoys, there is one that seems to be exceptionally popular across the board… toast. It’s a brilliantly versatile option for breakfast, lunch, or snacking, and I wanted to share with you a trio of delicious toast variations that I’ve been enjoying lately.

First up, we have the Spicy Tomato Basil Toast. This toast is perfect for when you’re in the mood for something with a little kick. Simply toast some bread, spread on the tomato sauce, top with a fried egg, sprinkle on some red pepper flakes and fresh basil, and you’re good to go. It’s a quick and easy way to add some flavor to your day.

Next up is the Kimchi Toast. If you’re a fan of Korean food, you’ll love this one. Toast some bread, lather on the tahini, and top with Kimchi, everything bagel seasoning, and flakey sea salt. The spicy and tangy flavors of the Kimchi are an impeccable match with the creamy tahini, and it’s an excellent way to add probiotics to your daily routine.

Last, but certainly not least, we have the Coconut Citrus Toast. This one is ideal for when you’re in the mood for something sweet. Toast your bread, spread on the coconut yogurt, and top with sliced citrus fruit, like blood oranges or grapefruit. It’s a refreshing and delicious way to start your day, and the combination of coconut and citrus absolute heaven.

I hope this toast trio inspires you to mix up your breakfast, lunch, and snack routines. Let me know what you think if you try them out.

Until next time,

Bridget

Kimchi Toast
The recipe is super simple, with only four ingredients: bread, tahini, kimchi, and everything bagel seasoning. You start by toasting a slice of bread (I like to use sourdough) to your preferred level of crispiness. Then, spread a generous amount of tahini over the toast. Next, add a few spoonfuls of kimchi on top of the tahini. Finally, sprinkle on some everything bagel seasoning to add a bit of extra flavor and texture. In addition to everything bagel, I typically add a touch of flakey sea salt to bring it home.
